Technogym President Nerio Alessandri has a dream of making the Romagna region the number one district in the world for well-being and quality of life. Over the years, the multi-stakeholder approach has allowed Romgna to get 2,500 businesses, with 9,000 employees, involved in promoting themselves as a “Wellness Valley” tourist destination. According to the Regional Touristic Observatory, it had produced an added value of around €200 million—just in the hospitality sector alone.
What's commonly recognized as “Wellness Valley” is now aiming to improve by using digital technologies, the ‘Internet of Things', and analytics, with the goal of multiplying their opportunities—while still keeping the people and their health at the center of their focus.
