Dallas will get a taste of la dolce vita this fall thanks to esteemed chef Giuliano Matarese and business partner Brian Ellard. The duo is getting ready to unveil Mille Lire, an Italian restaurant “rooted in the tradition and authenticity of Italy with an air of modernity.” Named after the country’s former currency, Mille Lire will take shape in The Centrum at 3102 Oak Lawn, Suite 116.
The restaurant will be open for lunch, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch, serving authentic, “neoclassic” Italian dishes with global influences. The seasonally focused menu will incorporate specially imported ingredients from Italy such as olive oils and cheeses, as well as locally sourced produce and meats. All pastas will be made in-house, and the restaurant has brought in a pasta-making machine and Neapolitan pizza oven directly from the culinary capital to ensure authentic eats.
