Join the U of A Italian Program in hosting Colpi di Maschera: The Story of Arlecchino e Brighella Servants to a Mistress. The performance takes place at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, in the Nadine Baum Studios (505 W. Spring St. Fayetteville, AR 72701).
Harlequin and Brighella are cooking up a big dinner at Colombia's Inn, but the guests (that's you) have shown up early, so the masks put on a Shakespeare-style romp full of usurpers, ghosts and a queen in need of rescue to fill the wait. It's 60 minutes of classic Commedia dell'Arte with a pop twist: leather masks, slapstick Lazzi, nods to Hamlet and movie classics, and live contemporary music, all before dinner is served.
