The Indianapolis Opera will host an intimate fundraiser Aug. 25 at Ambrosia restaurant featuring Italian opera, Neapolitan songs and a four-course meal. “Bel Canto, Bella Cucina!” will welcome 90 guests for an evening that combines live performances with appetizers, salad, a choice of entrée and dessert. Wine and beer selections are also included.
“It’s sort of like an opera pop-up, but in a very personal way,” said David Starkey, general director of the Indianapolis Opera. “You’re going to literally sit and get to know the singer, and then they’re going to pop up, and they’re going to sing, and they’re going to entertain you.”
