Three communities in Italy’s Piedmont region, Ingria, Ronco Canavese, and Valprato Soana, have launched a new residency program called VIHTA. The program is designed to bring fresh life to villages facing a steady decline in population.
The initiative sits at the heart of a broader Action Plan for the Habitability of the Soana Valley. The villages themselves are nestled near the Gran Paradiso National Park, which straddles the Italian Alps across Piedmont and the Aosta Valley. Read on to find out if you qualify.
