Art Basel put Miami on the map in the art world. Now there's a push to do the same in the fashion world. Some of the biggest name designers are coming to Miami to meet their fans face to face. Edguardo Osoro, designer of Aquazzura shoes, is responsible for creating what he calls the 12-hour fashionable heel.
Osoro says he called his shoe line Aquazzura as a dedication to Italy. "Aquazzura means blue water. I wanted a brand that reminded me of Italy, dolce vida in the summer," he said. The name may be dedicated to Italy but inspiration for the shoes comes from spending his teen years in the Magic City.
