Nothing surprising, in some ways. Sabrina Impacciatore's excellent performance in the second season of The White Lotus gave her great popularity in the United States. So much so that it even led her to an Emmy nomination in the category dedicated to best supporting actress in a drama series.
It is a great pleasure to finally see the talent of an important actress of our cinema, more and more in the limelight, valued to the full. The entry in the cast of the spin-off of The Office is, in this sense, a further certification of the value of Sabrina Impacciatore: in fact, there is talk of a very ambitious project.
But what will it be about? According to Greg Daniels, former creator of the U.S. remake of The Office, it will be neither a reboot nor a revival, but rather a series set in the same fictional universe as the historic sitcom starring Steve Carell. In all likelihood, it will be set in another branch of the iconic Dunder Mifflin. Few, at the moment, are the details: after years of rumors, there is little information currently available and curiosity reigns supreme.
There is no word on what role Sabrina Impacciatore will play, but in addition to hers, a second big name has been announced: Domnhall Gleeson, already seen in The Patient (by the way, right with Carell), Star Wars and Revenant, will join the cast of The Office spin-off.
