A Houston-area deli has emerged in the No. 1 spot of Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in 2017. Tony's Italian Delicatessen, 16283 Highway 105 in Montgomery, was ranked at the top of Yelp's annual survey of businesses that rank highly within the Yelp community. According to Yelp, the rankings were determined by reviews (both the ratings and volume of reviews).
Tony's Italian is known for its Italian sub sandwiches. The restaurant also serves salads, soups and offers a variety of bakery goods. Three other Houston restaurants found themselves in the Top 100 list: Le' Pam's House of Creole at 1644 FM 1960 (at No. 60); Yoyo's Hot Dogs, 5599 Morningside (at No. 83); and Las Tortas Perronas, 1837 Bingle (at No. 89).
