The area surrounding Brooks City Base is expanding rapidly, with all kinds of restaurants and businesses popping up around the Southeast Side hub. A new homegrown concept is headed to the area now, bringing along Italian-inspired sandwiches and freshly baked breads.
The all-new Focaccia Mia will open inside of its sister restaurant La Unica Cocina Mexicana, which is owned by chef Miguel Cortez, who also owns Birotes Tortas Ahogadas on the city's Westside. The new Italian street food concept will have its soft opening from 3 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14.
