After an absence of almost a decade from the Houston restaurant scene, popular Italian chef Alberto Baffoni, former owner of Simposio restaurant, is back and manning the stove at a new restaurant called Mascalzone Ristorante Italiano in west Houston.
Because every home cook should know how to make one perfect Italian tomato sauce, Chef Baffoni shares his recipe with FOX 26 Morning News contributor Cleverley Stone, as well as the recipe for affogato, an Italian coffee drink, that is causing a hyperactive buzz in Houston. Chef Baffoni also presents his recipe for tiramisu, a classic Italian dessert. His version is easy and requires no cooking.
