The Savoy in Rome: From boarding house to Italian restaurant institution

For more than nine decades, the Destito family has been serving up Steak al Ciccio — thinly sliced tenderloin cooked in a red wine sauce.

"It's has been on the menu as long as we've had menus to look at," said Chris Destito, a part of the fourth-generation of the family running the Italian restaurant in Rome. "It's basically the same recipe."
