Italian and dumplings don't usually go hand-in-hand, but Raviolo in New York City is making it happen. The fast-casual spot in the West Village is serving mash-ups like chicken parm buns and Italian ravioli served dim-sum style. It's your two favorite cuisines in one, and if you're in the city, it's an absolute must-try.
In terms of ravioli, you can order anything from lasagna to caprese. The star of the show, in my humble opinion, are the open-faced steamed buns. Homemade dough gets steamed and stuffed with classics like meatball sub and carbonara. Then we arrive at the bunboloni, which are essentially balls of dough stuffed with magical goodness (cacio e pepe, anyone?!). There are pastas and sides on the menu as well, all of which are worth tasting.
