Pagani, a casual, regional Italian restaurant opened in the West Village on Sept. 13. The restaurant is located in the former O. Pagani & Bros. music store from 1914, the space has been restored to its late 19th century ambiance. Pagani is the latest restaurant opened by Massimo Lusardi.
The menu, created by Executive Chef Mark Barrett (formerly with Tabla and Babbo), offers elegant Italian fare from all regions of the Italian peninsula.
Starters include White Shrimp with sauted red onion, fennel, Pernod, parsley, and lime ($12); and Warmed Buffalo Mozzarella with radish, herb puree and toasted ciabatta ($9). Pagani's signature Shredded Kale Salad is topped with pine nuts, black currants, Parmigiano cheese, lemon, and oil ($9).
