Meet Thomas Soluri and Joseph Bonacore, the owners of the Bacaro Italian Tavern which recently opened up in Massapequa Park. Patch spoke with the duo about their restaurant, which opened on Park Boulevard last year

Is this the first restaurant you ever owned?

No. We started with Caraway's back in the '80's and have had several successful restaurants since then.

What makes your restaurant different from others?

It's not your typical Italian restaurant with the dark atmosphere and decor. It's a lively tavern style with great energy and live music Wednesday through Saturday.

What food item are you most excited about?

Chef Joseph Bonacore is the master of creativity and truly enjoys creating new specials every week.
