There's an Italian restaurant at each of the four corners in Eastchester where you'll find Casa Brusco - but it's trying to set itself apart. "There's no chicken parm here - we're trying to move away from the Italian-American cliché," says general manger Diana Buonsignore. Chef Alberto Ricci comes to Casa Brusco from several prestigious Manhattan restaurants, notably Mediterraneo.
The sophisticated but not intimidating restaurant opened in January and is a comfortable and attractive space, with an inviting marble bar and dark wood appointments. The restaurant offers a well-priced wine list, strongest in Italian selections.
