Customers who stop by Springfield Pasta at 186 Saxer Ave. this summer may be in for a delightful surprise. The store’s updated open-air look, expanded inventory and variety of new offerings add more modern convenience to its old-world charm and more reasons than ever before to shop there when in the mood for “homemades” and other Italian specialty foods.
After moving some of its pasta making equipment to a new facility in Chester last year, the store finally had the long-awaited space to update. The Napoletano family, owners of the longtime Delaware County business, gave the whole place a fresher, brighter look by taking down a wall, refurbishing the floor and ceiling, and adding display cases full of an expanded variety of take-out foods and products.
