After running upscale restaurants in New York City, Chris Angelone thought it was time to make a career change. He wanted to stay in the food business, but without the hectic schedule and long days and nights so he would still have time to kick back a little and spend more time with his family.
The end result was Carmine’s New York Bagel Co., which he and his wife, Linda, opened earlier this year in Barnegat Township. But as the summer wore on, Angelone discovered that he really missed the Italian restaurant business. He has now opened Osteria511, at the former site of 72 Degrees in the Driftwood Plaza shopping center, on Route 72 East in Manahawkin.
