Jessica Sheehan grew up in her family’s restaurant, Bettelli’s Villa on Kidder Street in Wilkes-Barre Twp. She helped put cheese on pizza, made salads, washed dishes and cleared tables. At age 16, she became a waitress and worked in the kitchen. Everyone became like family in the family business, she said.
“When I was a kid, we were running around here,” Sheehan said. “We didn’t have baby sitters. We had a restaurant staff.” At age 34, Sheehan became the fourth generation continuing her family’s legacy by running the restaurant. The restaurant is a historical part of the Wyoming Valley, and its roots go back decades.
