On the occasion of the exhibition Casanova: The Seduction of Europe at the Kimbell Art Museum, 36 Save Venice adventurers from all over the US and as far as the UK came together in Fort Worth and Dallas for a specially curated excursion led by art, history, and conservation experts.
At the Kimbell, guests enjoyed behind-the-senes access to the Louis I. Kahn-designed conservation studio with its Director of Conservation, Claire Barry, and an exclusive after-hours tour of the Casanova exhibition with its co-curators C.D. Dickerson III and Frederick Ilchman, which concluded with a surprise performance on two Stradivarius violins by concert masters Michael Shih and Swang Lin of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
