The Milford Columbus Committee has named its Italian-American of the Year and he is a face many will recognize from his two very different professions. Douglas A. Edo – Milford Fire Chief and a musician with a popular local band, will be named Milford's Italian-American of the Year for 2015 at the Annual Milford Columbus Committee Dinner Dance.
By day, Edo watches over the city as chief of the Milford Fire Department, and by night he can be found playing bass with the popular band RumRunners. Milford's eighth fire chief began his career as a firefighter in 1980. He moved up through the ranks and became chief in 2013.
