Brockton restaurateur, business leader, philanthropist, volunteer and former city official Charles Tartaglia was honored Thursday night at the Ring of Champions dinner hosted by Signature Healthcare. Tartaglia was nominated by Fred Niccoli, a board member of the Signature Healthcare Foundation, for the President's Medal for Outstanding Community Service.
The ceremony was held at the Shaw's Center in Brockton where nearly 400 people were expected to attend. Tartaglia has supported his community in many ways including being a current board member of the Massasoit Community College Foundation. He also served as a member of Massasoit's Board of Trustees from 2000 until 2011.
