Rudy Zattoni stopped by the recent VFW auxiliary salad luncheon, and before he left, he came into the kitchen bearing gifts, a big bag of cukes picked from his garden. He invited us to take them home, as he said the summer had yielded quite a crop.
Somebody mentioned Rudy's birthday party, held Sept. 23 and what a nice event it had been, with the hall decorated in an Italian theme of red, green and white, colors of the flag of Italy. He laughed and said he had told his kids there probably wouldn't be many people attending, that they could hold it in a phone booth.
