Introducing Tony De Nonno

Jan 08, 2015 1915

Multi-award winning filmmaker, director, producer and cultural historian. He'll take the JetBlue red-eye from New York to Albuquerque in early February to headline the Albuquerque opening gala of the 2015 NM Italian Film & Culture Festival — "Strings Attached".

Why the reference to strings? Well, because Tony brings with him the fascinating story of the Sicilian marionette theater tradition, as well as an authentic, hand-carved, Sicilian marionette. Tony will screen his timeless, nationally broadcast PBS documentary, "It's One Family: Knock on Wood." Then, with marionette in hand, Tony will engage the audience of the festival's opening gala and treat them to an enlightening and unforgettable experience.

As a special festival gift to its exclusive beneficiary, the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital, Tony will also perform for the kids and their families on the day before the festival opens in Albuquerque. Give yourself the gift of an enjoyable evening while supporting the state's only hospital dedicated to New Mexico's most fragile infants and children. A portion of your ticket is tax deductible.
