Cranston’s Christiana Rodi stars in Boston production of ‘Aida’

Cranston's Christiana Rodi would love to have appeared at last weekend's Columbus Day Festival on Federal Hill fronting for Ambrosiani, the Italian band she sings with.
But she had to be in Boston for a 12-hour tech rehearsal for Tim Rice and Elton John's "Aida," which opens tomorrow for a six-show run at the Strand Theatre in Dorchester.
