The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players will perform a free concert in the Chase Room auditorium at the Madison Public Library on Aug. 17. The event is called a "Una Festa Musicale Italiana." The orchestra will play a variety of Italian music of all different styles, such as traditional, baroque, classical, and romantic. Concert goers can expect to hear music by Gesualdo, Vivaldi, Mozart, Rossini, Respighi, and many more Italian composers.
Xin Zhao will play on the violin and Lucy Corwin will play on the viola. Along with the concert, photographs from L.N. Anastasio's exhibit "Shades of Tuscany: Journey through the Heart of Italy" will be displayed throughout the Chase Room through Aug. 31. Refreshments will be available after the performance. Guests can also participate in a free raffle for prizes.
