New reality show on gay Italian-American guidos in development

MTV's Jersey Shore may be all washed up, but those Italian-American stereotypes may soon return to reality television — with a gay twist.

A major television company is searching for Italian-American homosexuals who have over the top Guido personalities for an unscripted television series now in development.

A casting director at Backroads Entertainment has been posting a call for "gay Guidos and Guidettes" on numerous casting call websites and Social Media.

Who started this new "Guido" phenomenon? Some say it's our very own Italian-American organisations.

After the Sopranos ended, UNICO president Andre DiMino launched an "aggressive" campaign attacking the media and entertainment industry for stereotyping Italians as Mobsters.

The media and entertainment industry responded with reality shows such as "Jersey Shore."

These Italian organizations gave "Jersey Shore" free publicity by going on national television stirring up controversy. After Andre DiMino appeared on television crying foul, the ratings doubled in the very next episode.

Controversy usually brings in more viewers, especially when it comes to entertainment and thanks to all the controversy, Jersey Shore become a global phenomenon when it shouldn't have.

If you're against the filming of this Jersey Shore spin-off— with a gay twist, you can write a letter to the casting director.

Please do it respectfully because Backroads Entertainment has "every right" to create this new reality show.
