Residents in “The Hill” neighborhood of St. Louis are beginning to explore the possibility of a historic district designation, which aims to preserve the neighborhood’s historic character as new developments reshape its landscape.
Beloved by many St. Louisans for its Italian-American heritage, tight-knit community and historic charm, The Hill has faced growing pressure in recent years to make room for new businesses and housing developments.
