The Columbus Piave Club is now accepting applications for the 2026 Patrick Canini Scholar-Athlete Award, a $1,500 scholarship presented annually to one outstanding graduating high school senior from Central Ohio and surrounding areas who is of Italian descent and demonstrates excellence in academics, athletics, and character.
Founded in 1919, the Columbus Piave Club is Central Ohio’s oldest Italian American civic and social organization. A core part of the club’s mission is to support the next generation while keeping traditions alive for the future. The Patrick Canini Scholar-Athlete Award reflects this commitment by recognizing students who embody leadership, dedication, and personal integrity—both in the classroom and on the field.

Scholarship Details
Award Amount: $1,500
Recipient: One graduating high school senior
Eligibility Area: Open to high school scholar-athletes in Central Ohio and surrounding areas

Awards Ceremony: Tuesday, August 4 at 6:30 PM (Columbus Piave Club awards ceremony)
