Scorsese’s “Midnight Vendetta” To Film This Year?

By: Garth Franklin

83-year-old filmmaker Martin Scorsese is currently in the midst of shooting the Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio-led “What Happens at Night” in Prague. Surprisingly, that hasn’t stopped him from setting up his next project. Industry database sites like Production Weekly and Production List (via WoR) indicate that casting grids have begun appearing for Scorsese’s next directorial effort – “Midnight Vendetta”.

All the listings indicate that shooting is targeting a December start in New Orleans. Filming on ‘Night’ wraps in May, giving Scorsese eight months to complete post and do pre-production on ‘Vendetta’. Famed writer Eric Roth (“The Insider,” “Killers of the Flower Moon”) submitted the script last year with the story tackling the Mafia’s early days in New Orleans at the end of the 19th century.
