The historic Grand Hall of the Main Building at Drexel University in Philadelfia, Pennsylvania, hosted the opening evening of “Italia è Moda,” the traveling exhibition funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (M.A.E.C.I.), celebrating the internationally renowned excellence of Italian fashion.
The evening opened with remarks by Consul General of Italy Nico Frandi, Drexel University President Antonio Merlo, and exhibition Curator Clara Tosi Pamphili, who celebrated Italian fashion as an expression of creativity, culture, tradition, and innovation.
The evening was further enriched by “Italia è Musica,” a concert by internationally renowned pianist Cristiana Pegoraro, the presence of four prominent local influencers, and a reception hosted by EATALY.
The exhibition will be open to the public through September 26. Complementary events include lectures on Italian design by Professor Luca Cortini, as well as the presentation of the Drexel University Fox Collection on September 23.
