Our Lady of Mount Carmel processed through the streets of Shenandoah’s west end once again, continuing a 112-year tradition as participants gave due thanks to those who came before. The procession stepped off around 9:30pm at St. Casimir’s Church following 8am Mass.
A Shenandoah Police cruiser and the Upper Schuylkill Marching Band, Shenandoah, led the procession followed by the rosary, families carrying cintas, and finally the statue of Our Lady. Prior to the procession, organizers gave thanks and due consideration to participants, organizers, and church leadership who came before them, including the late Tom Talerico.
