Opening Italy’s hidden churches with a smartphone

By: We the Italians Editorial Staff

In northern Italy, a quiet digital revolution is changing the way people encounter religious art and architecture. Across Piedmont and parts of the Alpine valleys, dozens of churches and chapels that were once locked for most of the year are now accessible through a simple smartphone app.
