Italian forward Simone Fontecchio is set to remain with the Miami Heat next season. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Fontecchio intends to sign a one-year deal to return to Miami. This season, Fontecchio appeared in 70 games for the Heat, averaging 8.5 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 37.5% from three-point range.
Acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo was the biggest move of the offseason, but it also left Miami with limited room to spend in free agency. That means the Heat are expected to focus on players who can fill specific roles rather than pursue another marquee signing.
