A new English-language digital news platform dedicated to Italy and its relationship with the United States officially debuted in New York on October 13, 2026. La Stampa USA, developed by Italian publishing group SAE, was unveiled at the Waldorf Astoria before more than 150 representatives of American and Italian institutions, businesses, media, and cultural organizations.
The initiative aims to reach not only the approximately 28 million Italian Americans but also the broader American public interested in Italian politics, business, innovation, culture, and society.
Led by SAE president Alberto Leonardis, editorial director Maurizio Molinari, and managing editor Valeria Robecco, the platform brings together Italian and American journalists, combining original reporting with multimedia content.
Beyond journalism, La Stampa USA intends to support economic cooperation through a business-to-business platform connecting Italian small and medium-sized enterprises with potential American partners, investors, and customers.
During the launch, SAE signed a collaboration agreement with SACE, Italy’s export credit agency, to promote business opportunities and highlight Italian companies operating internationally.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni addressed the gathering through a video message, emphasizing the historical importance of transatlantic relations. Rome Mayor Roberto Gualtieri also contributed remotely.
The National Italian American Foundation is a project partner, while Intesa Sanpaolo and Bonifiche Ferraresi supported the launch.
With its New York newsroom and international ambitions, La Stampa USA represents another initiative seeking to expand information exchanges, commercial relationships, and cultural connections between Italy and America.
