The Columbus Day parade is set take to the streets of one of Jersey City’s most established Italian-American neighborhoods for the 16th time on October 11, organizers announced on Tuesday. The celebration of Italian heritage will step off at 1:00 p.m from Dickinson High School campus on the corner of Palisade Avenue and march down Newark Ave to the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Plaza at Jersey Avenue where the Reviewing Stand will be located.
The parade will be held rain or shine. Organizers are promising that with grand marshals Frank & Jeanne Cretella of Landmark Hospitality, the owners of The Liberty House, The View, Hudson House and more, leading the way, this year’s parade will be bigger than ever.
