Il Newyorkese turns two: 20 million users, a film in the works, the renewal of its Mediaset series, and Carnegie Hall

The magazine dedicated to the new generation of Italian immigrants celebrates its second anniversary at Italy’s Chamber of Deputies and unveils three major initiatives for 2026.

Two years in business, 20 million users reached, and an editorial project that continues to expand its horizons. These were the achievements presented by ilNewyorkese, the magazine for Italians in the United States, as it celebrated its second anniversary at Italy’s Chamber of Deputies.

The event was attended by Member of Parliament Christian Di Sanzo and the magazine’s institutional partners, including Carlo La Rotonda, General Director of Confindustria–RetImpresa, and Pasquale Antonio Riccio, President of Campus Salute. Journalist Monica Marangoni moderated the event.

In just 24 months, the magazine has reached 20 million users and now attracts more than 2 million readers each month. It has published 30 print editions distributed throughout the United States by retailers including Walmart, Barnes & Noble, and Rizzoli, while generating more than 50 million interactions across social media.

The anniversary celebration also provided an opportunity to announce three major new initiatives.

On the film front, following three productions distributed on Amazon Prime Video, Il Newyorkese – A New York Story will premiere on streaming platforms next winter. Co-produced by N41 Studios, the film will star Alice Lussiana Parente and feature Marco Fanizzi.

“We want to turn an old cliché on its head,” explained publisher and producer Davide Ippolito. “We would like audiences to say, ‘The film is great, but the magazine is just as good.’”

There is also news for television. The Perfect Pitch, a startup competition created in partnership with RetImpresa, part of Confindustria, and later developed into a television series for Mediaset Infinity, will return for two new seasons after attracting more than 1 million views.

The upcoming edition will be set in New York and will focus on fashion, accessories, and sustainable fashion technology.

The third announcement concerns the Reputation Award, an honor established by ilNewyorkese. Its next ceremony will be held at one of the world’s most prestigious venues: Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The brand is also continuing to expand its digital television channel, which already has more than 100,000 active users. New applications are scheduled to launch in the coming months, further broadening the channel’s reach.

“ilNewyorkese was created to tell the story of a new kind of Italian immigration—one made up of researchers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are building their futures in the United States without losing their connection to Italy,” Ippolito said. “You can embrace life in New York without giving up being Italian.”
