The Italian Football League (IFL) announces a new strategic media partnership with We the Italians, the international media company that for over ten years has been a key reference point for the Italian American community and for relations between Italy and the United States.
The agreement aims to strengthen the League’s growth and international expansion, increasing the visibility of the First Division Championship and creating new opportunities to tell the story and enhance the positioning of Italian American football beyond national borders.
Through its editorial, digital, and networking platforms, We the Italians will promote the IFL Championship to a highly targeted international audience, with a particular focus on the United States and a community of millions of users, including over 20 million Italian Americans. A unique ecosystem capable of connecting institutions, businesses, and local communities, fostering new opportunities for dialogue and development.
The partnership includes the creation of dedicated editorial content, coverage of key events throughout the season – starting with the Italian Bowl – and the development of joint initiatives aimed at positioning the IFL Championship not only as a sporting competition, but also as an expression of Italian culture, talent, and lifestyle.
This agreement is part of a broader path undertaken by the IFL to strengthen its positioning as a sports and media platform capable of engaging with international audiences, also thanks to the relationships built over the years with the United States.
“This partnership represents an important step in the growth of our League,” said Louis Tosi, member of the IFL Board and part of one of the leading American cultural organizations dedicated to promoting Italian history and culture in the United States, the NIAF (National Italian American Foundation). “We the Italians is the ideal partner to tell the story of our sport to a community that looks at Italy with interest and engagement. We aim to build a strong bridge between Italian American football and the U.S. audience, showcasing our excellence and our development journey.”
“We are very pleased to begin this collaboration with the Italian Football League,” said Umberto Mucci, President of We the Italians. “American football in Italy is a fast-growing reality, and we know that it will attract significant interest within the Italian American community, which has always been closely connected to the values of sport and cultural identity.”
With this initiative, the IFL takes another step forward in its growth journey, strengthening an increasingly international vision and opening new development opportunities for the entire movement.
