Ten months after Giorgio Armani's death, a director has been chosen for a biopic about the Italian fashion designer's life. Danish filmmaker Bille August, aged 77 and director of films including 'The House of the Spirits,' is set to direct 'Armani: The King of Fashion,' according to industry publications The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.
Andrea Iervolino, who worked on 'Ferrari,' is on board as the film’s producer. August is a director who possesses the rare gift of revealing “the humanity behind the greatness,” the producer said in a statement. His cinematic work is characterised by “elegance, emotional intelligence, and a remarkable respect for the lives he portrays.” No details about the cast have been announced yet.
