Two recent cultural initiatives in Italy highlight how technology is reshaping the way heritage is experienced, combining digital storytelling with immersive museum design. One focuses on ancient Etruscan sites in Lazio, while the other transforms a landmark of imperial Rome into a multimedia experience.
The “Via Etrusca” project centers on the UNESCO-listed archaeological areas of Tarquinia and Cerveteri, recognized since 2004. It introduces an integrated communication system that blends film production, podcasts, a web app, and virtual and augmented reality tools.
