Culture is not only one of Italy’s defining national assets – it is also an increasingly powerful engine of economic growth, employment and innovation. In 2025, the Italian Cultural and Creative Production System generated €115.8 billion in added value, representing 5.7% of the country’s economy and an increase of 3.3% over 2024.
The figures come from the 16th edition of “Io Sono Cultura,” the annual report produced by Fondazione Symbola, Unioncamere, the Tagliacarne Study Center and Deloitte. Its analysis includes businesses, professionals, nonprofit organizations, public institutions and creative workers employed outside strictly cultural industries.
