On Oct. 12, Ambassador Leandro (Lee) Rizzuto, whose father and grandfather founded Conair, will help lead the 82nd Annual Columbus Day Parade up Fifth Avenue in New York City in recognition of the family’s contributions in the field of business, statesmanship and philanthropy.
Leandro P. Rizzuto, Conair’s co-founder and Chairman of the Board, died in December 2017. Rizzuto’s recognition also celebrates an Italian American success story of an immigrant family whose entrepreneurial legacy helped shape the American beauty industry.
