The Consul General of Italy in Miami, Michele Mistò, had the honor of receiving the official proclamation presented by Mayor Vince Lago on behalf of the City of Coral Gables, designating October as Italian American Heritage Month in Coral Gables.
The proclamation recognizes the invaluable contributions that the Italian and Italian American communities continue to make to the cultural, social, and economic life of South Florida.
Over the decades, Italians and Italian Americans have played a key role in shaping the region’s identity, enriching its cultural fabric, and strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Italy and the United States.
