Ambassador Tilman J. Fertitta joined the Marine Security Guard detachment in Rome to celebrate the 250th United States Marine Corps Birthday, thanking them for their commitment to protecting the United States, and our Mission community, and our Allies and partners around the world.

Tonight, we gather to reflect on the proud history of the United States Marine Corps and to recognize the enduring partnership the U.S. diplomatic community shares with the brave Marines who stand watch at our U.S. embassies and consulates around the globe, including here in Italy."
