My name is Marco Buglione, and I am sophomore at Fordham University from Irvington, NY. I am an applied accounting and finance major and member of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). More recently, I was accepted to session 2 of the NIAF Voyage of Discovery from June 16th-29th. Students will be traveling to NIAF's 2024 Region of Honor, Friuli venezia Giulia.

At Fordham's Gabelli School of Business, I am a Finance Scholar, the finance students honors program, and Beta Alpha Psi member, an honors organization for accounting, finance, and information systems majors. I am leveraging classes, including financial and managerial accounting, to gain knowledge.

This has helped me transition to a freshman summer 2023 internship at Gabelli Funds in Rye, NY. In addition, I interviewed and secured an accounting internship at KPMG for the summer of 2024. This past October, I volunteered at the NIAF's 48th Anniversary Gala in Washington, DC. At the event, I helped package and wrap over 600 DeCecco Gift Bags, check in over 900 guests, and attended seminars and lectures on the global "Italian-American Diaspora."

At school, I am an officer of Fordham University's "Insieme Italian Cultural Society." In this role, I am responsible for the club's budgeting, organizing trips to Italian enclaves in New York State, and inviting guest speakers to share their mission. I am also fluent in Italian and Spanish, and proficient in Latin.
