The book was created by Laura Bresciani, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the Italian Program at New York University; Claudia Donna, who teaches at Liceo Classico Internazionale "C. Botta" in Ivrea (Turin), Italy; and Alessandra Garolla, who teaches English and French in her native city of Naples, Italy and previously served as Adjunct Professor and Coordinator of the Italian Department at George Washington University, Washington, DC.

Professors Bresciani, Donna and Garolla previously collaborated to create the popular intermediate-level text Amicizia, Affetto, Amore in Edizioni Farinelli's contemporary literature series.
