If you have already visited Bologna, the capital of the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, you probably have fallen in love with the city (like we did) for any number of reasons:
- You’ve marveled at the beauty of its medieval porticoes, nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a defining architectural element of its well-preserved historic center.
- You’ve strolled through the majestic Piazza Maggiore, the city’s main square and meeting place dominated by the impressive Basilica of San Petronio (the fifth largest church in the world).
