Prosecco has surpassed champagne as the most exported sparkling wine in the European Union. Despite a 6% decline in overall values, PROSECCO has surpassed champagne as the EU’s top sparkling wine export.
Italian prosecco has ranked first among the main categories of sparkling wine exported from EU member states to countries outside the European Union, with over 205 million litres (41%).
