Italy reveals its beauty and opens to the public the gates of some treasures that cannot be visited during the year. Saturday, March 19, and Sunday, March 20 the event is the 24th edition of the Spring Days of FAI, Italian Environment Fund. The menu of the initiative include over 900 extraordinary visits with voluntary contribution in 380 spots in all the Italian regions (the full list is on FAI's website). You will be spoilt for choice. Every region has its own events, every location its surprises.

In Rome, for example, the Historical and Cultural Institute of the Engineering Corps will be open. Closed for a long period due to renovation works, the museum bears important evidence to works of engineering and military architecture: the monoplane that flew to Libya in 1911, the scale models that evoke the battle fields, the memorabilia and rooms dedicated to the media.
