Export sales in value and volume of Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano grew double-digit in the first quarter of 2022 and show a positive trend in the following three months as well, posting +7% in value and + 3.8% in volume.
Lombardy’s GI cheeses in 2021, according to the Ismea-Qualivita Report, have a regional impact of 1,401 million euros and, in addition to Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano (the latter produced in a part of the province of Mantua) are also represented by Gorgonzola.
