The conservation of twenty-seven drawings in 2015 was funded by the Boston Chapter of Save Venice in memory of Eleanor Garvey. The Museo Correr houses an impressive collection of drawings by Francesco Guardi (1712-1793), many of which are in need of conservation.
Divided into five groups based on urgency of need for treatment, the first two sets of drawings have recently been sponsored by the Boston Chapter of Save Venice in memory of Eleanor Garvey. Thirty-three drawings in the collection are still in need of conservation funding. Drawing sponsorships begin with gifts of $2,500.
